| columncolumncolumn | The best part is Clicker Training not only help the dogs but also the owners...it's AMAZING Thanks Vicky for your dedication and patience. Thank you a million times for coming here. You've opened my mind and taught me how to treat animals not only loving them. And the same method applies to humans too. It's just so wonderful. I really enjoy Vicky's class...clicker training greatly changed what we think about dog training and it is a great concept. I used to hit my dog whenever my dog does something wrong. I thought this way my dog would know never to do that again to avoid being hurt. Though punishment does work, no dog lovers really want to hurt dogs... After I started going to the clicker training class, there happened to be a TV program that talked about the training method. It was about a jail program that uses clicker training to train stray dogs |

| columncolumncolumn | One of the inmates said it well: She said: "Most of the inmates here are multiple offenders who come in and out of jail numerous times. If punishment really worked, they wouldn't keep coming back." |
| columncolumncolumn |
| columncolumncolumn | That's exactly the point...If your dog stops doing something in fear of being hurt, would you like it if you were in its place? What if I didn't care about being beat up, or what if I was bad to the bones? Punishment wouldn't do me or anybody any good. It may even make matters worse. I suppose dogs and people alike would prefer encouragement, wouldn't they? |
| columncolumncolumn | Clicker training is a good teaching method for both dogs and people. By allowing dogs (or people) to enjoy doing the right thing and let them do the right thing on their own decision, we can be sure that [they] would never want to do anything wrong and they never will. I would like to thank Vicky for introducing this training method and teaching us how to use it. It is an effective method no matter whether you are teaching dogs or people. Furthermore, you have a lot of fun when you are interacting with your dogs during training. Thank you, Vicky. Thanks, everyone, for giving me an opportunity to attend such an event. Clicker training is so different from what we are used to. Before the class, whenever our dogs did anything wrong, we'd be really mad! The more we taught them, the more we got angry. We scolded or beat up our dogs, but then felt bad for doing so and felt sorry for the dogs...Clicker training is more humane. Use encouragement in place of punishment, which is also how the new way of education is. Use patience to help kids or dogs do what is right. When dogs are not afraid of being punished, they are more like to try everything. Then, you will find out "Whoa, my dog can do something like that!" |

| This kind of classes helped me to understand how dogs think. Sometimes when I was listening in class, it would suddenly occur to me" Ah, so that's what dogs are thinking!"...I really owe my dog a lot. |

| columncolumncolumn | I couldn't bring my dog because I didn't have any means of transportation, so I just watched how other people trained their dogs and I practised with their dogs, too. Everyone got to practice in class. It was really nice. I heard that it was crowded in Vicky's other classes. I guess we were pretty lucky to be in this class. |

| columncolumncolumn | Clicker training is not only a way of training, but also a philosophy as to how to be round animals...Clicker training lets the animals have control and lets them decide what they want to do. The trainers are merely sidekicks and wait for the desired response to treat. If the response doesn't occur, there won't be any punishment. This blew people away. People in general think that if you don't tell animals they do something "wrong", how would they know they did? ...The goal of clicker training isn't teaching tricks, but helping the owners to understand what their animals are thinking, and helping the dogs understand what the owners want and give the desired behavior as cued. Now we can understand what they want, and there is so much surprise and fun in the interaction. Clicker training teaches the owners to...switch places with their pets and try to experience how they see things and what they think. Then it teaches the owners to interact with their pets and train them step-by-step when the pets are in a relaxed state. They will find that they can communicate with their pets and the pets will understand. |
